BenQ PD2725U Review – There are two primary types of users one is working and another is gaming, If you are searching for a Mac-ready external monitor then the BenQ PD2725U is a very good option. It has 27 inches 4K display with 100% sRGB rate, USB Type C port, Thunderbolt connectivity, and a fully adjustable stand with nice build quality.

The monitor looks great in minimal design and the good thing is the monitor allows you to rotate the display to any angle with the height adjustments feature, so you can change the view angle of the monitor to a comfortable position.

The price is 899$ which is reasonable in this segment, there are not very good options, LG and Dell offer the same specs with higher price tags so this is really good.

Image Quality

The BenQ PD2725U comes with a 27 inches flat IPS display with a resolution of ‎3840 x 2160 Pixels, The display supports HDR10, and the SDR contrast and brightness are good but the HDR peak brightness and contrast are not optimized so the picture quality in HDR is less quality but you can’t see the difference in normal playback, the darker room gives you a little bit of difference of the image quality.

Color is good, it has a 100% sRGB rate that brings good colors and is good for content creation and editing.


It has a 60Hz refresh rate, and there are no FreeSync and G-Sync capabilities, for multitaskers, there is no big issue like lag or screen flicker. This is not a gaming monitor so you can’t play heavy games on this, but lightweight games you can still play without any big performance issues. This is another perfect option from LG, The price tag is less than the BenQ PD2725U, It has a big 32 inches flat 4K display with HDR 10 supports, USB Type C, and the monitor supports AMD FreeSync for smoother visuals and better graphics response time. The monitor is also good for gaming but not for heavy gaming as it has a 60Hz refresh rate.


If you are looking for work and gaming monitor features in one machine then the GIGABYTE M28U is a really good option, It has a 144Hz refresh rate with 28 inches 4K display, It supports HDR 400, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, USB Type C port, but the big downside is there is no USB Type C port. For content creation and gaming, the monitor is good but in terms of connectivity, you will miss the Type C Port in this monitor.
