But there are many disadvantages of this monitor like there is no HDR for more vibrant colors and optimized picture quality also there is no USB Type C Port so these are the bad thing about this monitor but this is good for those who are looking for a budget monitor.
The monitor is very good at the build quality and there are no big issues in image quality but not as great as Pro Art segments are represented, USB Type C port and HDR is the main disadvantages of this monitor but there are many good things including the build and design, the monitor is fully adjustable.
It’s a perfect monitor for secondary uses, I will not recommend this monitor because this is not a perfect monitor overall and it doesn’t clarify its audience, so let’s check out the details of the monitor.
Asus ProArt Display PA278QV Monitor Review | Rating – 4/5
The Asus ProArt Display PA278QV offers 27 inches flat IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 PIxels and a 75Hz refresh rate for responsible visuals, the build, and design of this monitor are superb with strong body fitting and the stand is fully adjustable and you can adjust the height and viewing angle of the monitor to any angle you want.
The picture quality is very good with maximum color accuracy but missing HDR that a perfect fit for this monitor. There are many connectivity options but missing a USB Type C port. It’s not a gaming monitor so you can’t use this monitor for playing games,
But this does not mean you can’t play games on this monitor you can play lightweight games because of the low refresh rate and no FreeSyn/GSync technology the gameplay is not very responsible and smooth. The monitor is good for content creation, video editing, and graphics designing because of its color accuracy.
Build and Design
The monitor is built with strong plastic with a sturdy body, It has a square shape stand that easily fits on your desk without taking up too much space in your desk setup, also it allows you to tilt the monitor to a different angle, so you can use a swivel to change the viewing angle also you can use pivot feature to change the monitor position. You can change the height of the monitor to a comfortable position,
The overall design of this monitor is impressive and the monitor is lightweight so you can easily move the monitor without any problem. The weight of this monitor is 7.5 Kg with the stand and the dimensions are 24.21 x 15.04 x 8.9 inches.
The Asus ProArt Display PA278QV provides a 27 inches IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and great picture quality with maximum sRGB for vibrant color accuracy, this is really impressive for video editing and graphic designing,
I already mentioned that HDR brings more deep blacks and sharper picture quality that is missing on this monitor, there is no issue with image outputs so for content creation this might be great but there are many options in the market that you can choose with more features.
The brightness and the contrast are not optimized and missing deep colors, such as dark in most environments. Overall the picture quality is good on this monitor without HDR, the 75Hz refresh rate helps to improve the responsiveness of the visuals that enhance the overall experience while working on this monitor.
Performance-wise this is good for multitasking and office work, It has a 75Hz refresh rate without FreeSync/G-Sync and this is disappointing for gamers, for content creation this is perfect but not for gaming, you can play light games only because there is no high refresh rate and FreeSync/GSync to enhance the gameplay. The graphics are unresponsible if you are playing heavy games on this monitor, there are no big issues in light gameplay.
If you are looking for a performance monitor then this is not for you, there are many options are available in the market, this is good for productivity only but missing a USB Type C port that is one more disadvantage of this monitor. (Asus ProArt Display PA278QV Monitor Review).
The monitor comes with many connectivity options including DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, Mini DisplayPort, USB hub, Earphone Jack, and audio inputs. For more seamless multitasking and productivity, there is a need for a USB Type C for fast data transfer which is not available on this monitor.
